Andy is in Brazil at the University of Feira de Santana funded through the Science without Borders Program through Cnpq and CAPES. Andy and Huzefa Raja taught a workshop on Introduction to Phylogenetic Systematics from November 17-19.
The Miller Mycology Lab participated in a Fungal Bioblitz hosted by Discover Life in America in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on July 12. Dr. Hal Burdsall and Dr. Ed Lickey (along with his students Maria Marlin and Kathleen Leigh) joined Andrew Miller, Andrew Methven, Alberto Stchigel and Romina Sanchez (pictured below).

Dr. Alberto Stchigel, a professor at the University of Rovari i Virgili in Reus, Spain, is visiting the Miller Mycology Lab during the month of July.
